This Monday, the National Academy for Public Administration hosted a training on the topic which has become increasingly important for every civil servant, especially in this information age - "Cyber-Resilient Cross-Border Cooperation".
The training addressed topics such as the importance of data protection within public institutions, which can often be targets of cyber-attacks, and which is especially important for academies like ours, having extensive data on civil servants. The lecturer, Mr Jasen Tanev, a Bulgarian cyber security expert, provided the participants with valuable insights and professional perspective.
This event is part of a successful collaboration with the Bulgarian Institute for Public Administration under the leadership of Director, Mr Pavel Ivanov, who was also present today. At the opening of the training, Acting Director of the Academy, Mr Dejan Miletić, expressed his satisfaction that, in addition to civil servants, members of non-governmental organizations also attended the training, thus emphasizing the need for broad engagement of various sectors in the fight against cyber threats.
The dialogue and experience shared during the training helped the participants get valuable insights into the Bulgarian approach to cyber security, which will be of great use in developing strategies for cyber resilience. This training is expected to lay the foundations for further cooperation and joint initiatives in this key area.
The Hanns Seidel Foundation, known for its support to relevant topics and successful projects, was a key sponsor of the event.
