The first module of the sixth cycle of the training programme for newly appointed senior civil servants, within the project "Strengthening the professional capacities of senior civil servants in the Republic of Serbia", began with the training "Working environment of senior civil servants – overall picture", led by lecturer Mrs Bojana Tošić, Director of the Serbian Secretariat for Public Policy.
Director of the National Academy for Public Administration, Mrs Marina Dražić, greeted all colleagues, trainees and wished them a successful work and stay at NAPA, with the wish that they use these trainings for networking with colleagues and creating even stronger ties between different public administration bodies.
By the end of the year, eight trainings will have been implemented, in various areas such as communication skills, management of the public policy system, membership in the EU, and achieving results.
At the same time, trainings from the "Saće" programme are being implemented for senior civil servants who have already been employed. The trainings are aimed at improving knowledge in key areas for the work of the public administration and trainings aimed at improving skills. The trainees have the opportunity to learn from experts, develop their managerial and leadership skills, meet colleagues from different institutions and together create ideas that can contribute to the improvement of public administration and our society.
The project "Strengthening the professional capacities of senior civil servants in the Republic of Serbia" has been implemented by the National Academy for Public Administration for three years now with the financial support of the EU Delegation to Serbia. The results of the "Basics - Essential Issues" and "Saće" programmes so far are more than 200 senior civil servants having attended the trainings.
