The tenth annual conference of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) was held on the premises of the Italian National School of Public Administration (La Scuola Nazionale dell'Amministrazione - SNA) in Rome, on May 22 and 23.
In two conference days, representatives of 39 countries discussed management and leadership, as well as innovative methods and models of training for senior civil servants. Special attention is paid to fostering international dialogue and continuous exchange of experiences and strategies as a necessary element of training leaders.
The delegation of the National Academy of Public Administration, consisted of acting director Mr Dejan Miletić and assistant director Mr Dejan Raketić, was one of the conference participants. On that occasion, the network of potential international partners for future joint projects and initiatives was largely expanded, as well as official cooperation with the host institution. The agreement signed by Mr Miletić on behalf of the Academy and Mr. Paola Severino, president of the Italian National School, set the framework for cooperation between the two institutions in the organization of joint trainings and seminars, the implementation of research projects, but also topics of importance for the process of joining the Republic of Serbia to the European Union, especially in the sphere of public policies.
The National Academy became a member of the OECD Global Network of National Schools of Administration in August 2018, at the invitation of the Network Secretariat. The network provides a unique platform for sharing experiences and good practices that ensures that public sector employees have the skills and competencies to respond to current and future priorities.
