Students studying andragogy at the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Belgrade visited the training centre of the National Academy for Public Administration on Thursday, April 20. Led by Professor Jovan Miljković, another generation of students had the opportunity to learn about the work of the Academy and see firsthand the application of andragogy in the professional development of employees in public administration.
The guests were welcomed by acting director of the Academy, Dejan Miletić, who underlined that the work of an andragogue was extremely responsible and complex, and it was important for students to gain insight into their occupation in practice through an institution that deals exclusively with the training of adults - employees in the public administration, thus making a significant contribution to the reform of the entire administration and progress of the entire society. This was followed by a presentation of the work and activities of NAPA by colleagues from the Sector for the Development and Preparation of Training Programmes, as well as the Sector for Training Implementation.
On that occasion, Professor Miljković pointed out that visits to the Academy were an excellent opportunity for andragogy students to see the combination of theory and practice, that is, what an andragogy institution should look like.
The visits of andragogy students, which are held several times a year, are an important contribution to understanding the way the Academy works. These visits are also an opportunity for students to get closer to public administration institutions as their potential employer.
