A ceremonial conference marking the successful completion of the “Local Self-Government for the 21st Century” project was held today at the Mona Hotel in Belgrade.
The conference was attended by Marina Dražić, Director of NAPA, who, as Assistant Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government, also served as the project manager.
The main achievements of the project include the development of inter-municipal cooperation, the establishment and equipping of one-stop administrative service centres, and support for local governments in organizing their work processes and developing an optimal operating model that saves resources, meets citizens’ needs, and improves productivity.
The conference was opened by Jelena Žarić Kovačević, Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government; Anne Lugon-Moulin, Ambassador of Switzerland to Serbia; Dijana Ilić Zogović, Deputy Director of the Republic Secretariat for Public Policies; Nikola Tarbuk, Secretary General of the Standing Conference of Towns and Municipalities; and Jovan Knežević, Acting Assistant Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government and Project Manager.
On this occasion, Jovan Knežević presented certificates of appreciation to local government units for their participation in the project, which was supported by the Government of Switzerland.
