Marina Dražić, Director of the National Academy for Public Administration (NAPA), is participating in the Western Balkans Policy Conference organized by the Regional School of Public Administration (ReSPA). The conference is held on November 26–27 in Skopje, North Macedonia, bringing together ministers, senior public administration officials from the Western Balkan countries, high-level representatives of the European Commission, and members of the ReSPA Governing Board. The aim of the event is to identify potential synergies and new ideas for regional initiatives, as well as to strengthen leadership in Public Administration Reform (PAR) in the region.
The theme of the conference is “Next Generation Governance: Driving Innovation in Public Services in the Western Balkans,” with discussions focused on policy planning, better regulation, human resources management, quality management, and innovations in public service delivery. A ministerial-level meeting of the ReSPA Governing Board was also held during the event, chaired by the Republic of North Macedonia, and attended by Jelena Žarić Kovačević, Serbia’s Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government.
The conference also featured an award ceremony recognizing outstanding achievements in the public sector, and the launch of a new Knowledge Management Platform for the Western Balkans, aimed at facilitating collaboration and continuous learning among regional public administrations.
The National Academy for Public Administration joined the ReSPA network in 2019 and has since actively participated in both local and regional initiatives of the organization.
