The delegation of the National Academy for Public Administration headed by Acting Director Dejan Miletić participated in the meeting of the Network of Directors of Institutes and Schools of Public Administration (DISPA), held on October 20 and 21 in Prague. The Network meetings are held twice a year in the country that presides over the EU Council at the time and represent an opportunity for all members to exchange knowledge and best practices in the field of vocational training and public administration reform.
The main topic of the October meeting was "Digitalization of public administration in the context of professional development of civil servants". In addition to presentations given by key people of the public administrations within the Network member countries, participants used these two days to also attend workshops focused on various aspects of digitalization of public administration.
On the second day of the conference, Acting Director of NAPA gave a presentation on "self-paced" online training. On that occasion, Mr Miletić emphasized that the DISPA meetings are an excellent opportunity to exchange experiences and presented the work of the Academy with a special focus on success stories in digitization. One of the key success stories of NAPA in the area of digitization is exactly the "self-paced" training. The importance and effectiveness of this type of training is reflected in the independent work of the trainees, i.e. the ability to attend online training from anywhere, at their own pace. So far, the Academy has developed as many as 60 "self-paced" training courses that are available to all public administration employees in the Republic of Serbia, which, according to the words of Mr Miletić, puts the Academy side by side with the best professional training institutions in Europe.
During their three-day stay in Prague, NAPA representatives also visited the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia and had a meeting with H.E. Berislav Vekić, Ambassador of Serbia to the Czech Republic. Ambassador Vekić wished Mr Miletić success in this international conference.
