11 October 2022

On Tuesday, 11 October 2022, the National Academy for Public Administration had organized a Masterclass lecture "11th at 11 a.m." on the topic "American administration through the prism of a career diplomat". The lecture was held by H.E. Mr. Christopher Hill, Ambassador of the United States of America to the Republic of Serbia.

Mr. Hill has held a masterclass for more than 500 employees in public administration of the Republic of Serbia, who followed the lecture at the NAPA amphitheatre or online. Ambassador Hill spoke about examples of good practice and the public administration system in the United States of America, from the perspective of his rich diplomatic career.

On this occasion, Ambassador Hill had emphasized that empathy is important for working in public administration and that "working in public administration involves engaging the entire spectrum of abilities to understand people and to understand that you are there not only to enforce the rules, but to also contribute to making people's lives better".

This is the fourth in a series of events "11th at 11 a.m.", during which the National Academy for Public Administration hires renowned world experts from various fields, thereby striving to contribute to the empowerment of the bearers of the Public Administration Reform, which leads to a more efficient service tailored to all citizens.
