The Acting Director of the National Academy for Public Administration, Dejan Miletić, has participated in the Western Balkans Ministerial Conference on Public Administration Reform in Skopje, as one of the participants in the panel "Walking the talk: futureproof PAR with 2030 vision".
Speaking about the challenges of transposing trainings to a digital environment, Mr. Miletić has presented the innovative solutions that NAPA uses in the professional development of employees in the public administration of the Republic of Serbia – from visionary topics dedicated to digital transformation, to modern training techniques such as self-paced online training and microlearning. He has pointed out that the strategic commitment of the Government of the Republic of Serbia towards modernization and reform had made it possible to lay the foundations of the Academy and build its capacities, while the key factor for this were the people, as a resource in respect of which significant investments should be made. He had concluded that employees in the public administration of the Republic of Serbia must keep-up with the dynamic changes implied by Public Administration Reform, and that the mission of the Academy to prepare and support them in this process.
The conference, organized by ReSPA and OECD/SIGMA OECD/SIGMA, brings together the ministers in charge of public administration of the Western Balkan countries, with the aim of encouraging high-level political dialogue on common challenges and opportunities related to the transformation of the public sector and civil service, as well as on improving cooperation and exchange of experiences between the public administrations of the Western Balkan countries.
