6 June 2022

The National Institute of Administration of Romania (INA) the Romanian counterpart of the National Academy for Public Administration, warmly hosted the NAPA delegation at its premises in Bucharest.

NAPA representatives, led by the acting Director Dejan Miletić, met with the president of INA, Alexandru-Mihai Ghigiu, using the opportunity for a valuable exchange of knowledge and good practice examples with an institution that has years of experience in professional development of public administration employees. On that occasion, Mr. Ghigiu pointed out that the Academy and the Institute have close cooperation, and that a constructive discussion with NAPA’s director was a great opportunity to strengthen the friendship and cooperation between Romania and Serbia.

Talks intensification is the starting point for future exchanges of experience in the form of employee mobility between the Institute and the Academy, which was agreed on at the Bucharest meeting and will be implemented by the end of this year. The employee exchange will be accompanied by the concretization of the area of joint activities focusing on innovations that contribute to improving the  public administration quality. The parties will exchange information on training programs and seek to organize joint webinars with international lecturers on topics relevant to the modernization of public administration.

The National Institute of Administration (INA) was established according to Government Ordinance, as a public institution of national interest. The Cooperation Agreement with NAPA was signed in 2019.
