Acting Director and Assistant Director of the National Academy for Public Administration, Dejan Miletić and Snežana Antonijević, are part of the Serbian delegation that was in Spain from October 25 to 29, 2022, on a working visit to the School of Public Administration of Catalonia (EAPC) in Barcelona and the National Institute for Public Administration (INAP) in Madrid.
This working visit was organized by the Regional School for Public Administration (ReSPA) for all members of this network, and high representatives of the public administration bodies of the countries from the region had the opportunity, as participants, to learn about the Spanish experience in the field of human resources management.
In addition to the members of the Academy, the representatives of Serbian institutions included the Director of the Human Resource Management Service of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, Danilo Rončević, and the Assistant Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-government, Ivana Savićević.
For the delegations of Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Serbia, this was an opportunity to discuss, together with their Spanish colleagues, the modalities of cooperation between the institutions, but also examples of good practice and the challenges they are facing.
At the working meetings at the National Institute for Public Administration in Madrid, there were talks about the implementation methods and results of research projects, talent recruitment and career advancement, methodologies and training programmes and digital competencies of civil servants, and special attention was paid to the Bank of Public Administration Innovations.
In the capital of the Catalan region, the hosts i.e. representatives of the School for Public Administration of Catalonia presented their work, which includes innovative content such as a virtual learning system and open learning, and then exchanged experiences with their guests in the field of employee competence frameworks, mentorship, and plans for development of the innovation culture in the public sector.
