In her address to the trainees, Director Dražić stated that NAPA, together with the line Ministry, seeks to systematically raise the level of knowledge and skills of local officials. She emphasized that Sombor is a great example of a local self-government unit whose employees are highly committed to continuous professional development, and noted that trainees will gain essential knowledge for applying for funds and independently managing projects.
Mr Knežević highlighted that this training is an important opportunity for civil servants to learn how to transform the identified priorities and goals of their institutions into project proposals to be submitted as funding applications.
Mayor Ratković stated:
"One learns as long as they live, and in line with this saying, we are aware of the constant need for professional development among employees in local self-governments. The world is constantly changing, and we must keep pace with those changes so that, for the benefit of our citizens, we can implement the best of those innovations."
