On Thursday, September 28, the National Academy of Public Administration hosted in a friendly atmosphere a Hungarian delegation led by the Ambassador of the Republic of Hungary to Serbia, Jozef Magyar, and the Director General for International Affairs of the Ludovika University of Public Service in Budapest (LUPS). The guests from Hungary were welcomed by NAPA acting director, Dejan Miletić, together with assistant director Dejan Raketić and Radmila Tomović, Head of the Group for International Cooperation.
The meeting was the occasion to inform each other about the activities and results of two institutions - the National Academy of Public Administration and Ludovika University, both focused on the field of public administration. It was especially emphasized that the extremely good neighbourly relations between Hungary and Serbia naturally transfer to the area of professional development.
The delegates agreed that there is great potential for deepening cooperation between the two institutions. A number of opportunities were considered, including mobility programmes, guest lectures and research projects in the field of public administration.
Ambassador Magyar and Acting Director Miletić agreed that the importance of such initiatives is great for strengthening bilateral ties between Hungary and Serbia, especially in the field of training. This visit emphasizes the importance of professional development in public administration as a key factor for improving efficiency and transparency in the work of public institutions.
