The international conference "Platform for Francophonie, Multilingualism and Cooperation in Europe" was held in Sofia on October 16-18, 2023. The conference was organized by the School of Management of the Specialized Administration and Management Institute of La Francophonie (ESFAM) from Bulgaria, under the auspices of the Ministry of European and Foreign Affairs of the Republic of France, with the aim of emphasizing the importance of the French language, promoting multilingualism and establishing stronger cooperation in the European area.
The organizer of the conference gathered the participants in order to present the initiative for creating a common platform for the implementation of trainings in the French language intended for civil servants of EU Member States and candidate countries.
The conference was attended by members of the European Commission, directors and representatives of national public administration schools and public administration experts from all over Europe. Representatives of the National Academy of Public Administration, Radmila Tomović and Ivana Ajtić Kurmazović actively participated in the round table held on the first day of the conference on the topic of Cooperation in the field of initial and continuous training of civil servants, together with the representatives of the European Institute of Public Administration from Luxembourg, the College of Europe from Bruges , Institute of Public Service of France, Regional School of Public Administration ReSPA, Institute of Public Administration of Bulgaria, National Institute of Administration of Romania, Diplomatic Academy of Moldova, National Institute of Administration of Portugal and others.
