The National Centre for Public Administration and Local Government of the Hellenic Republic (EKDDA) organized in Thessaloniki a multilateral meeting of regional public administration entities. The meeting, hosted by the Minister of the Interior of the Hellenic Republic, Makis Voridis and the Mayor of Thessaloniki, Janis Butaris, was held in order to present a special programme for senior civil servants - EKDDA's Special Program for the Executive Officers of the State.
The National Academy for Public Administration was represented by Acting Director Dejan Miletić and head of the Group for International Cooperation Radmila Tomović, who, together with representatives of other regional public administration schools, discussed the importance of regional cooperation and the possibilities for its establishment and empowering. A topic of the meeting was also the opportunities to access to European Union funds and their more efficient use for the purpose of regional cooperation.
The National Centre for Public Administration and Local Government is the central institution for professional development of employees in the public administration of the Hellenic Republic, founded in 1983, with which the Academy maintains a traditionally friendly and collaborative relationship.
