DIRECTOR OF THE NATIONAL ACADEMY FOR PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION, MARINA DRAŽIĆ, ATTENDS THE 53rd REGULAR ASSEMBLY OF THE STANDING CONFERENCE OF TOWNS AND MUNICIPALITIES – THE ASSOCIATION OF TOWNS AND MUNICIPALITIES OF SERBIA (SCTM)

18 November 2025

The largest annual gathering of representatives of local authorities in Serbia also brings together senior officials of state institutions, members of the diplomatic corps, international organisations and numerous partners from the region.

This year’s focus is on the theme: “Two decades of cooperation between the Swiss Confederation and the Standing Conference of Towns and Municipalities – the Association of Towns and Municipalities of Serbia (SCTM) in supporting the development of local self-government.”

One of the main goals shared by both NAPA and the SCTM is to raise awareness of the importance of continuous professional development for employees in local self-government units. For this very reason, future projects will be aimed at pooling resources to strengthen the competencies of local officials more effectively.

The cooperation between the SCTM and NAPA represents an important step towards modernising and improving the work of local self-government units, contributing to the creation of a more efficient public sector and raising the standard of services provided to citizens. I look forward to the exchange of experiences, new initiatives and joint efforts to enhance the services that citizens rightfully expect from their local authorities.
