The Annual Conference titled "Sector-Specific Professional Development in Local Self-Government" was held today at the Palace of Serbia, organized by the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government. The event was officially opened by Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government Jelena Žarić Kovačević and Minister for Family Welfare and Demography Milica Đurđević Stamenkovski.
Snežana Antonijević, Assistant Director of NAPA, delivered a speech on the topic "Supporting the Development of Knowledge and Skills of Local Self-Government Employees for the Modern Work Era."
She stated:
"At the National Academy, we will do everything within our power and jurisdiction to jointly promote sector-specific professional development as a complementary part of the unified professional development system. In doing so, we strengthen public administration as a whole—an administration built on knowledge, where a culture of continuous learning and development among all civil servants is fostered."
Following her speech, Jasmina Bensmasur, Assistant Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government, addressed the attendees and spoke about the plans for the development of the sector-specific training programme.
