Today, at the "Metropol Palace" hotel, the International Conference on the Strength of Institutional Frameworks in the Fight Against Corruption was held, organized by the Anti-Corruption Agency, to mark the International Day for the Fight Against Corruption.
During the panel discussion titled "Judicial Framework in the Fight Against Corruption," Marina Dražić, Director of NAPA, Olivera Ristanović, President of the Misdemeanour Court, Jelena Milutinović Ziljkić, Prosecutor at the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office, Nenad Vujić, Director of the Judicial Academy, and Konstantin Palikarski from the UN Office on Drugs and Crime discussed topics related to a systemic approach to preventing corruption.
In her address, Director Dražić emphasized that the recently signed Memorandum of Understanding between NAPA and the Anti-Corruption Agency is a confirmation of their close cooperation. The memorandum aims to raise awareness among civil servants at all levels about the importance of corruption prevention. She highlighted that 4,500 state employees have already undergone training in this area, and in the future, these training sessions will also be available to employees in local government units, which is particularly important for more responsible and higher-quality services to citizens.
It is an honour for us to have participated in this Conference, which addresses a very important topic for the entire public administration, especially because NAPA organizes a large number of training sessions on topics related to this area.
